Monitoring large outdoor areas around the clock requires a camera that delivers accurate color in any lighting condition. The Dahua SD3A400-GN-A-PV Pan-Tilt IP camera uses a 1/3-inch CMOS sensor producing 4MP resolution at 2560 x 1440, giving wide-area coverage sharp enough to identify people and vehicles at distance. Its dual illumination system — two IR lights and two white lights — reaches up to 30 meters, enabling full-color footage down to 0.002 lux in color mode and 0.0002 lux in black-and-white mode, with 0 lux capability using the built-in illuminator in total darkness.
Illumination control can be set to Auto, Manual, or Off, giving installers control over how and when the lights activate. The progressive scanning system and an electronic shutter range of 1/3 s to 1/100,000 s handle rapid movement without blur, useful for tracking vehicles or people moving quickly through the frame. Onboard memory of 128 MB ROM and 128 MB RAM supports continuous pan-tilt operation and image analysis.
